SafeGuard

Review potential secret exposure before repository changes are shared.

SafeGuard helps reduce the risk of sensitive values entering source-controlled work. It complements Keyring: Keyring protects credential use during execution, while SafeGuard reviews repository content for potential exposure.

Review findings

Inspect the affected file and pattern, then decide whether to remove the value, replace it with a protected reference, or mark an appropriate exception using the controls available in your build. Recheck changed files before sharing repository changes.

SafeGuard is an additional review layer. Do not treat it as proof that every secret will be found or every external Git path is covered.
