Keyring and connections

Store reusable credentials locally and use protected references in configured connections.

Scylla Keyring stores sensitive connection values locally in encrypted form. Connections refer to protected values by name so Broker can use them during authorized execution without placing reusable credentials into agent context.

Configure a connection

  1. Add the required values to Keyring.
  2. Create the connection using protected references rather than pasted values.
  3. Test the smallest safe operation.
  4. Review policy, local permissions, network access, and remote account permissions.

Unlocking Keyring makes values available to trusted Scylla execution paths. It does not allow an operation that policy blocks. Never paste raw passwords, private keys, tokens, or connection strings into a support report.
